TELUS HEALTH - BEING AN OHS LEADER: ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF A SUPERVISOR
Are you in a position of authority? Are you aware of your responsibilities with respect to occupational health and safety management? In order to fulfill his or her duties, the supervisor (or manager) must play a leadership role with his or her team and act as an intermediary between the workers and management. The supervisor must participate in the identification of risks, in the choice of corrective measures to be taken, in the implementation of these measures and in their maintenance by means of follow-up, control and evaluation of his actions. Thus, his credibility will allow him to commit his resources to the prevention process.

How can I better track, monitor and evaluate my actions as a manager? What strategies can I use to develop a proactive prevention culture in my team? How to engage workers in the preventive approach?
