E-learning training on health and safety rules, and general procedures of the Westwood IAMGOLD mine site applicable to employees and subcontractors carrying out work at said location.

This training is part of the 4 mandatory training components required to access the Westwood IAMGOLD mine site:
• OHS and General Procedures;
• Hazardous Energy Control;
• Respiratory protection and gas detection;
• Governance Policies;

This training will help you to identify health hazards in the workplace and the controls required to protect yourself.

Participants will learn the core elements of a Health and Safety Policy, including responsibilities and compliance. The course covers Site Requirements, ensuring workers understand proper behavior, PPE usage, signage, and access control.
You'll also explore key Emergency and Traveling Procedures, learning how to respond to incidents, evacuate safely, and travel between sites responsibly. Finally, the course introduces the principles of Environmental Management, including waste handling, pollution prevention, and sustainability best practice.

Awareness session to support our employees and contractors to better manage their environmental risks in regards of the following standards:
E11 – Water Quality Protection and Water Management.
E12 – Air Quality Protection.
E13 – Chemically Reactive Mineral Waste Control.
E14 – Land Management and Rehabilitation.
E15 – Hazardous Materials and Non-Mineral Waste Control and Minimization.
E16 – Biodiversity Protection and Natural Resources Management.

This training aims to equip individuals with the necessary understanding and measures to effectively manage silica-related risks in the workplace.

More specifically, it will provide participants with comprehensive knowledge about silica, including its definition, sources, and routes of entry into the body. It will cover the potential health effects, diseases associated with exposure, and contributing factors. Participants will also learn about the Threshold Limit Value (TLV) for silica, the silica code of practice, air monitoring techniques, hazard controls, and the importance of medical surveillance in ensuring their safety and health.
