Participants learn how to complete and interpret Lockout Matrix forms, apply and verify locks and tags, and follow proper procedures for equipment isolation, testing, and re-energization.
The course also emphasizes accountability, including proper documentation, communication, and the safe handling of lock removal scenarios. By the end of the training, participants are prepared to ensure that equipment remains securely locked and tagged out throughout their tasks, preventing accidental start-up and maintaining a safe work environment.
