VALENTINE GOLD MINE – LOCKOUT/TAGOUT (LOTO) – VISITORS
This Lockout Tagout (LOTO) training course provides participants with a clear understanding of safe isolation practices for plant and equipment. It covers the roles and responsibilities of Personal Lock Holders, Isolation Officers, Supervisors, and Verifiers involved in Level 1, 2, and 3 isolation processes. Participants learn how to complete and interpret Lockout Matrix forms, apply and verify locks and tags, and follow proper procedures for equipment isolation, testing, and re-energization.
The course also emphasizes accountability, including proper documentation, communication, and the safe handling of lock removal scenarios. By the end of the training, participants are prepared to ensure that equipment remains securely locked and tagged out throughout their tasks, preventing accidental start-up and maintaining a safe work environment.
