IOC - FIRE MARSHAL

This training is customized to fit the various facilities located within the IOC project as well as facilities owned by IOC outside of the property. Various hazards, and emergency procedures are one of the focal points discussed during this training. In addition to the locations of the Emergency Assembly Points as it relates to the facilities and the importance of accountability at the EAP’s.

This training is mandatory for all the identified IOC Employees/Contractor Fire Marshals as per IOC's Fire Marshal program roll out for their applicable areas.
Upon completion of the training participants will be aware of: • Their responsibilities as outlined in the fire marshal power point and the responsibilities of Emergency services and security. • The benefits of planning, preparing and practicing for an Emergency event. • Awareness of fire hazards that may stop a fire from starting. • Isolating and confining a fire to stop it from spreading • The building life safety systems and have a better appreciation of their surroundings. • How and who to call for help. • Accounting for Employees/Contractors at the Emergency Assembly Points.

The training consists of fire safety and hazard awareness training. The awareness training will provide participants with information about their surroundings: • Dangerous conditions that could cause a fire or cause it to spread. • How to react, protect, warn and assist others in the buildings when a fire or emergency condition occurs. • The training covers in detail the Fire Marshal's role.
